About Me

Hi, I’m Bilawal 👋

Like many others, my journey into design wasn’t exactly planned. I studied software engineering thinking I’d spend my life writing code,
but somewhere in university, I found myself way more interested in how things look and feel than how the backend works. That’s when
I realized design is my thing and luckily, knowing how both sides work has become one of my secret weapons.

Most days, you’ll find me designing products, adjusting the same icon 12 times, and convincing myself that this shade of blue is finally the right one. The rest of the time, I’m either lifting weights, exploring outdoors, or lost in a gaming session that was only supposed to last “just 10 minutes.”

If you’re wondering, yes I still occasionally rename my Figma layers. But not always.😉

Experience

May 2023 - Present

Thought Factory
Product Designer - Full Time

At Thought Factory, I worked across several web and mobile projects, shaping product experiences that supported long-term growth and business needs. I led design roadmaps, collaborated closely with stakeholders, and used a mix of user research and product data to guide improvements across different platforms. Each project focused on making the experience more consistent, scalable, and intuitive for users.

I also developed dashboards that helped teams track user engagement and behavior in real time, giving them the clarity needed to make informed decisions. Throughout, I designed and prototyped SaaS and eCommerce platforms in Figma and FigJam, partnering with cross-functional teams to refine flows, improve usability, and raise the overall quality of the final product.

Texas Instruments
User Experience Designer - Contract

At Texas Instruments, I contributed to multiple initiatives by building scalable design systems and reusable web components in UXPin. This helped speed up development cycles and ensured a consistent visual and functional experience across products. I worked closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to align on UX direction and support smooth handoff into development.

I also conducted in-depth UX audits and created detailed documentation in Confluence and UXPin, helping teams stay aligned and transparent throughout the design process. By focusing on user-centered design principles, I helped improve usability and shaped cohesive product experiences that better supported real user needs.

Uncovered
User Experience Designer - Full Time

Led UX and product design for the largest cold case data platform, guiding strategy and execution across multiple projects. I created responsive user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in Figma to support new feature development and improve platform usability.

Through user research and detailed design documentation, I ensured the team stayed aligned with real user needs from concept to launch. I worked closely with developers and QA teams in Agile sprints to streamline handoffs, keep progress steady, and deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.

Creative Health
SR. UI UX Designer - Full Time

Defined the design direction for a comprehensive healthcare platform tailored to both patients and providers. Delivered high-fidelity dashboards and UI screens in Figma, optimized for smooth developer handoff. Led user research and testing workflows, translating insights into wireframes and refined prototypes.

Developed responsive front-end layouts using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to support early builds. Designed cross-platform interfaces for iOS, Android, and web, following HIG and Material Design standards to ensure consistency and usability.

Zigron PVT LTD
SR. UI UX Designer

At Zigron, I led UI/UX design for a range of B2B and B2C digital products, collaborating closely with product owners and senior leadership to turn business needs into effective design solutions. I worked end-to-end—from user research and flow design to wireframes, prototypes, and frontend handoff, ensuring each product was aligned with user expectations and brand goals.

My process focused on creating scalable, intuitive interfaces through low- and high-fidelity design, using tools like Figma, FigJam, and SurveyMonkey to gather feedback and iterate quickly. By applying user-centered design in an Agile environment, I helped multiple teams launch products that improved engagement, reduced friction, and brought clarity to complex user journeys.

When I’m not designing

When I’m not working, I’m probably playing video games, keeping my car clean (a bit too often), or out on a hike somewhere. I love trying new foods and exploring different cultures whenever I get a chance. Movies, long random walks, nature, or even just messing around with AI art — all of it keeps my head fresh and somehow ends up sneaking into my design work.

It’s kind of my way of balancing things out while staying inspired.
